Infant Ibuprofen Being Recalled at CVS and Other Retailers

 

SAN ANGELO, TX-- A brand of infant ibuprofen has been recalled from numerous stores including Walmart, CVS, and Family Dollar.

Tris Pharma inc. has voluntarily recalled three lots of Infants' Ibuprofen Concentrated Oral Suspension. The reason for the recall was that they believed that some of the bottles of medicine may be over-concentrated.

Adverse effects that may be experienced are nausea, vomiting, epigastric pain, or more rarely, diarrhea. tinnitus, headache and gastrointestinal bleeding are also possible adverse effects. Infants can also be more vulnerable to permanent NSAID-associated renal injury.
