Group Set to Present Petition for Whataburger to Stop Using Foam Cups

AUSTIN, TX-- Eco activists are prepared to ask beloved Texas restaurant Whataburger to get rid of plastic cups in lieu of a more environmentally friendly alternative, according to a report from CBS Austin.

On Monday, a coalition of "several groups" will present a petition to the popular fast food chain asking them to cease use of foam cups. Their ground for this petition is that the foam "ends up in rivers, lakes, and oceans where it can kill wildlife," according to CBS Austin's report.

Copies of the petition, which reportedly has 50,000 signatures, will be distributed at the San Antonio-based headquarters.

The petition will also be distributed to select restaurants in Austin and Corpus Christi, where Whataburger was founded.

And if I was CEO of Whataburger, I'd have an Officer at every single store just waiting on these groups to pull onto the property where they would be issued a criminal trespass warning before coming into the stores and failure to leave the property immediately would result in anyone still on the properties arrest.

For peacefully presenting a petition? Glad you’re not in charge, because that would be a waste of tax dollars. Who knew petitions were so scary?

Plastic cups sweat and cause damage to tables and vehicles. They also give you about 3 minutes to consume the drink before it’s all water. Don’t ask about recycling because Republic charge us, and then haul it to the dump anyway.
