United Blood Services Becomes Vitalant

 

SAN ANGELO, TX -- San Angelo’s United Blood Services has become Vitalant joining a nationwide network of donation centers.  

According to information from Vitalant, United Blood Services is rebranding and has become one of 127 donation centers in 40 states.  Vitalant President and CEO Dave Green says, “Our organization has grown to encompass blood donation centers and specialty services from coast to coast.  As transfusion medicine leaders, we embrace this opportunity to combine our innovative capabilities.”

James Duggar, president of Vitalant operations in Texas and New Mexico said, “United Blood Services has a 65-year-history as San Angelo’s largest blood center.  We remain committed to the community with the same people and dedication to the mission that you’ve come to expect from us.”

Vitalant will maintain the same staff in every donation center and donors will experience the personal and professional level of service they have come to expect.  In San Angelo, Vitalant has one donation center and hosts 30 blood drives each month.

The blood donation center is located at 2020 W. Beauregard.  Vitalant is headquartered in Scottsdale, AZ.
