SAN ANGELO, TX -- The Original Henry’s Diner at 3015 closed suddenly Friday because the restaurant’s grease trap overflowed into the parking lot and down the street.
City crews blocked off A&M Avenue between Sherwood Way and Beauregard Ave. and spread sand in the streets to soak up the grease spill. San Angelo Police and Firefighters responded earlier in the day to divert traffic around the spill. REACT volunteers were on the scene helping with traffic mid afternoon Friday.
A spokesman for Henry’s said their contractor who cleans out the grease trap each month didn’t clean it out. The overflow began last night and Henry’s closed earlier today because the grease was all over the parking lot. Henry’s has since had a different contractor drain the grease trap and says they will open around 5 p.m. Friday. Henry’s has several reservations for graduation friday night.

Either the contractor didn't do their job or Henry's didn't pay the bill to get the job done. And if you know it's almost full why not call someone else. It's not like it's graduation weekend or a holiday weekend haha

PermalinkThe grease trap at Henry's has been a problem there for years. It just can't handle the capacity. Don't get me wrong, Henry's is one of my favorite places in town, the need to put some of their profit into a new and much larger trap.
It will greatly enhance the looks (and smell) of the establishment but will have an adverse effect on the neighborhood alley cats.

PermalinkThe Alpha Romeo is an Italian made car. Bond drove an Aston Martin that had that option to create oil slicks like you inadvertently did.... would have liked to see that.....

PermalinkTook my Grandfathers Chevy Silverado, think a 91, up to 120 once, the speedometer did a complete turn and came back around the other side about a sixth of the way, I started to float around and decided that was enough... I used to set my cruise between here and Midland at 100... What a dingus I was huh? I guess I got it out of my system though.
