Grape Creek VFD Holds BBQ Fundraiser for Training

SAN ANGELO, TX -- Volunteer Firefighters with the Grape Creek VFD held a fundraiser at the Grape Creek ISD Administration building on the corner of US 87 and FM 2288 Saturday.

Firefighters worked the four way intersection holding boots to take cash donations from motorists in the area.

They also sold brisket plates for $10.

Firefighters said the funds raised Saturday would go toward training for their volunteers.

The Department had all their trucks lined up in the parking lot next to the highway at the intersection.
