Panda Express Reopens; Water Leak Causes Closure

UPDATE

SAN ANGELO, TX — Panda Express has reopened their doors to continue with regular business hours for the rest of the day.

"We had a water leak that has been fixed and we are serving customers again at this time," said the manager of the establishment.

Panda Express is open again.

Just after noon, just as the lunch hour rush was beginning, San Angelo's Panda Express on Sherwood Way mysteriously locked their doors and told customers in the drive-thru that orders could not be completed.

The manager at Panda Express was vague about the problem but informed us that there is no danger but that orders cannot be completed at this time. She said the location will be closed until further notice.

"I'm not sure if we will be closed for a few hours or the rest of the day," stated the manager at the Chinese chain.

Panda Express opened last month. Towards the end of its construction in December, the grand opening was delayed due to plumbing problems. The first week of January, the restaurant opened with great fanfare, as thousands of appreciative patrons crowded the fast food Chinese food chain store for a taste. Reviews of the quality of food have been quite good.

Panda Express is operated by a privately-held corporation. They have over 2,000 locations nationwide.

Sure would be nice to get the name of the plumbing Co. so I don't call them for any problems I might have.

Panda Express was one of my favorite fast food Chinese places while we lived in California.
I craved it alot when pregnant with my 2nd child. I love the terriyaki chicken & veggies. I'm so happy that it's finally here in San Angelo. I've seen it in the El Paso area but that's all as far as I know as the nearest one. Now if only a Peter Pipers Pizza came here then things would be just about perfect. Build on Knickerbocker or South Bryant too much is on Sherwood Way now.
