Texas Internship Challange Relaunched by Tri-Agency Partnership

 

AUSTIN, TX – The Texas Workforce Commission, Texas Commissioner of Higher Education,  Texas Commissioner of Education,  TWC Commissioner Representing Employers,  TWC Commissioner Representing Labor are joining major Texas employers to affirm their commitment to the Texas Internship Challenge, a statewide campaign that challenges employers to increase and promote internships for students in Texas at a press conference on Feb. 5, Monday at the south entrance of the TWC, located at 101 E. 15th St. in Austin.

They will highlight commitments made by employers for the 2018 that are offering internship opportunities to students across Texas. www.TXInternshipChallange.com provides a free digital location for employers to post and students to access paid and academic credit internship opportunities across the state.

The Texas Internship Challenge was a recommendation to Governor Greg Abbott, by a Tri-Agency Initiative, to offer more internships for the Texas students.
