Jimmy John's Opens in 'Freaky Fast' Time

SAN ANGELO, TX-- The newest sandwich shop in town has opened its doors on Sherwood way across from The Grill.

Jimmy John'sStore Manager Charlie Nixon and his staff of 27 employees greeted people as they made their way through the door on Tuesday.

"[Jimmy John's] is a very well recognized national brand," Nixon said. "We offer something special. We've got that speed, we've got that accuracy, we've got that freshness, you know. You can get a good sandwich most places, but can you get one in 30 seconds or less at those places? Probably not."

The opening of Jimmy Johns was in the works for around five years according to Nixon.

"We kind of got tipped off by a former employee in our Nebraska store," Nixon recalled. "So we came down to pitch for ASU and we love San Angelo...The community was awesome and so friendly. The Chamber [of Commerce] invited us in so we bought the franchise."

Jimmy John's filed a building permit with the city in April of 2017.

Jimmy John's boasts more than 2,700 stores nationwide delivering "freaky fast" sub sandwiches since 1983

I enjoy finding out about new businesses here on live but we are hardly ever given the address. Any chance of including the street address when a business or city office is mentioned? I suppose I should know where "The Grill" is located but I don't, and so far the local Jimmy John's doesn't come up on google.

TIA

5770 Sherwood Way. "The Grill" is in the strip of shops in front of Sam's Club. Jimmy Johns is on the other side of Sherwood from Sams just down from Sonora Bank

The owner of this corporation is a piece of garbage. I would never eat at a place that is owned by a person who glorifies himself by trophy hunting and hugging dead animals for his own gratification. Not to mention its basically an overpriced Subway which also sucks.
