SAN ANGELO, TX — Grand China Buffet, located at 4388 Sherwood Way, will have its grand opening on Friday, Nov. 3, at 11 a.m. Hours of operation are from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday – Friday, and 11a.m. to 9:30p.m., Sunday through Thursday.
Grand China restaurants are individually owned, and after checking with one of the owners, the manager, Min Chen, said that they did not receive incentives from the city’s Economic Development Corporation to locate in San Angelo.
According to manager Min Chen, in addition to traditional Chinese food, Grand China will also have a large selection of different types of sushi. Made-to-order stir fry is also available.
The interior of the restaurant resembles the style of the previous restaurant; however, the kitchen has been remodeled with all new cooking appliances, with an emphasis on efficiency and cleanliness.
The restaurant doesn’t take reservations, but there is more than one party area available.
The cost of the lunch buffet is $8.99. The dinner buffet is $11.99.
Grand China is hiring 10 to 12 additional wait staff and hostesses. Anyone interested in the positions should apply at the restaurant.
