Garbage Truck Rodeo Held at Sunset Mall

SAN ANGELO, TX — If you were at Sunset Mall Saturday, you may have wondered why the big blue Republic trash trucks were driving around an obstacle course. We learned what was happening.

San Angelo and Abilene offices of Republic Services held their annual Truck Rodeo in the parking lot of Sunset Mall Saturday. Republic Services handles garbage collections in the region.

According to Republic Services Area Manager Ray Grothaus, 16 drivers from San Angelo and Abilene competed in the rodeo.
