Logan's Roadhouse in San Angelo Closes For Good

SAN ANGELO, TX — Logan’s Roadhouse in San Angelo is closed as of Monday, Aug. 21. We went there and asked if it was true, that Logan’s #370 was closing?

A supervisor who did not want to be named confirmed the news. Logan’s in San Angelo is no more. The corporate office decided not to renew the lease, he said.

Nashville-based Logan’s Roadhouse filed for bankruptcy a year ago and announced it was closing 34 restaurants then. San Angelo’s restaurant was spared.

Not this time. The restaurant has been a fixture in San Angelo since 2001.

The first Logan’s Roadhouse opened in Lexington, Kentucky in 1991.

Absolutely no loss to San Angelo. I went there once, the food and service was terrible. I did give them the benefit of the doubt and tried it again later on and same experience.... So long, Adios, hit the road Logan's Roadhouse.

Too bad it wasn't Twin Pukes er Peaks! Why can't we have a Red Robin, TGI Fridays or Joe's Crab House-surely the population here would be high enough for better restaurants!

Years ago I had lunch at the Roadhouse while the guys next door at Discount Tire put new tires on my truck. The food was fair but staff was rude and prices were too high. By the time I needed another set of tires, I decided to try them for lunch again. I got fooled a second time and haven't been back. What I have done is buy another several sets of tires next door.

Two businesses - One consistently provides good value and friendly service, the other forgot the golden rule and had to close. Like doc say's, no loss for San Angelo. We have a variety of exceptional, locally owned eateries that appreciate their customers.

Always hate to see people lose jobs but Logan's has sucked, for lack of a better word, for a long time. Food is hit or miss and the servers always seem more interested in chatting with each other than doing their job. Possibly they've changed in the 8-9 years since I've eaten there but from the comments I doubt it.

But since San Angelo loves nothing more than to open more restaurants where they can pay people $2.50 and hour and have them depend on tips to live on I'm sure they'll bring in something else in its place.

And I just got a promotional email from the time-stamped 9:59pm last night.
This is most unfortunate and disconcerting.

Logan's has never been good to my knowledge. I worked nearby years ago and went a few times with coworkers, but was always dissatisfied. I'd rather have steak at Texas Roadhouse. Better steak, better service.

I ate there once and sat at the bar...a roach crawled over to my glass. I haven't been back since.
