SAN ANGELO, TX - Business and community leaders from Canada to Mexico will gather in San Angelo for the Ports-to-Plains Annual Conference September 13-15, said a City press release.
According to the release, registration is required and information and full details about the conference are available on the Ports-to-Plains website at portstoplains.com. The cost is $150, and registration must be completed by September 9.
“This is a great opportunity to learn about the work along the Ports-to-Plains Alliance Corridor, and our efforts to promote investment in the infrastructure that allows our economies to grow,” Ports-to-Plains President Michael Reeves, said. “We have a great lineup of speakers, plus an audience from throughout the entire corridor so it will be a phenomenal networking event.”
Among those scheduled to speak at the conference are Texas Department of Transportation Executive Director James Bass; Director of Economic Growth for the George W. Bush Presidential Center Matthew Rooney; Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center President Dr. Tedd Mitchell; ROI Research on Investment President Steven Jast; and Gulf Coast Strategic Highway Coalition Chairman Judge John Thompson.
The event is co-hosted by the City of San Angelo and the San Angelo Development Corporation.
Ports-to-Plains is a grassroots alliance of over 275 communities and businesses, including alliance partners Heartland Expressway, Theodore Roosevelt Expressway and Eastern Alberta Trade Corridor Coalition, whose mission is to advocate for a robust international transportation infrastructure to promote economic security and prosperity throughout North America's energy and agricultural heartland including Mexico to Canada.
