McAlister’s Deli, a leading fast casual restaurant, announced today it will open a new location in San Angelo on Monday, Nov. 17 at 2592 North Bryant Blvd. The new restaurant is owned by the Southwest Deli franchise group and this will be its second restaurant in the San Angelo market.
In celebration of the new location, the restaurant will donate all tips collected during the first month to the West Texas Boy’s Ranch. Additionally, Southwest Deli created a program called the Helping Hands Project to enable charitable giving. From Nov. 17 – Dec. 24, the new San Angelo location will launch the program in which the restaurant will award a $2 gift card to every guest that donates $2 to the West Texas Boy’s Ranch.
“San Angelo residents love McAlister’s Deli and so we are thrilled to be opening the city’s second location,” said Larry Lee, owner of Southwest Deli. “We want to thank the community for extending such a warm welcome and hope to see as many members of the community as possible when we open our doors on Nov. 17.”
Southwest Deli currently operates 21 McAlister's restaurants in Texas and New Mexico. The group has a development plan in place for five states, including continued growth in Texas and New Mexico, as well as new territories in Utah, Idaho and Arizona. In addition to the new San Angelo location, Southwest Deli opened restaurants in Abilene, Andrews and San Antonio, Texas, as well as Carlsbad, N.M., this year. It is slated to open its next location in Odessa, Texas, in early 2015.
