Irene Robinson, 89, left her earthly home to be with her Heavenly Father on Monday, July 10, 2023. Irene left peacefully as her daughter, Renee', sang to her "What a Day That Will Be". Irene was born March 19, 1934 to Reverend J.E. Kennedy and Grace Louis Palmertree Kennedy in Poplar Creek, Mississippi.
Irene loved her Heavenly Father and spent a lot of her time on FaceBook spreading the word of the Lord. She will be remembered for always posting words of encouragement to others. Irene loved talking about the Lord and the many ways she had been personally blessed.
Irene attended school in Indianola, Mississippi and married the love of her life, Curtis Robinson on June 1, 1952. They celebrated 63 wonderful years together.
She worked for Town and Country in San Angelo until Curtis was transferred to Tupelo, Mississippi to work for AutoZone. Irene was employed at Peoples Bank in Tupelo until retirement. They then relocated back to San Angelo, Texas to be closer to their children.
Irene is survived by her son, Michael Robinson {Kathy) of Midland, Texas; daughter, Renee' Jenkins of San Angelo; grandchildren, Mike Robinson {Jennifer) of San Angelo, Texas, Austin Robinson of College Station, Texas, Rachel Riviello {Ryan) of Haslet, Texas, Bryan Jenkins {Kristine) of Sanger, Texas, Julie Mullins of Big Spring, Texas, Jennifer Wright of Lubbock, Texas and Jeremy Wright (Samantha) of Big Spring, Texas; 14 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild and her beloved dogs, Zoe and Maddy. Irene is also survived by her sister, Helen Evans of Greenville, Mississippi.
Irene was preceded in death by her husband, William Curtis Robinson, and her daughter, Rhonda G. Robinson. She was also preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Denton Kennedy and Buck Kennedy.
