Robert Montgomery Duncan, 81, passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2026, in San Angelo.
Graveside Service will be 1:00 PM Monday, October 5, 2026, at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Sanderson with Pastor James Bryan, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.
Mr. Duncan was born on January 15, 1945 in Fort Stockton, Texas to Donald Louis Duncan and Ruby O. Robertson. He graduated from the School for the Deaf in Austin. He worked at the Post Office, as a ranch hand at a ranch in Terrell County, and at Sandall Glass Company in Kansas. Later he graduated from TSTI in Waco as a draftsman.
He enjoyed fishing, camping, anything outdoors, and enjoyed drawing. Robert was quiet and reserved but had a witty funny side. He married Frances Stephens in 1994.
Robert is survived by four children, Monty Duncan and wife Jennifer of Waxahachie, Michael Duncan of Ft Worth, Bobby Poole and wife Miranda of Huntsville, Arkansas, and Nancy Seely and husband James of San Angelo; a sister, Mary Hooks and husband Tommy; 17 grandchildren, Taylor Duncan, Emily Duncan, Haley Duncan, , Ashley Poole, Noah Poole, Taylor Poole, Sydni Cantrell, Logan Poole, Madison Fulton, Natallie Fulton, Kolt Fulton, Joshua Fulton, Stephen Seely, and Brodee Seely; great grandchildren, Noah, Lily, Carlos, Ryan, Mason, Zoiegh, Oakley, Wyatt, Vana, Lyra, Lucas, Atticus, Dallas, Riaha, Avah, Josh, Kaigelee, Charlee, Ellis, Lincoln, Evelyn, and Dean; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by a son, Ronnie Fulton; brother, Douglas Duncan; and sister, Margaret McDaniel.
