Douglas Molina Martinez, 56, of San Angelo, passed away on Monday, September 21, 2026, in San Angelo.
Public viewing will be from 10:00 AM until 8:00 PM with the Rosary being at 6:00 PM Friday, September 25, 2026, at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel. Mass will be 10:00 AM Saturday, September 26, 2026, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. Freddy Perez, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Caholic Cemetery under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.
Mr. Martinez leaves behind a legacy of love, courage, kindness, and service to others.
Douglas was a devoted family man and a longtime welder whose dedication, skill, and strong work ethic were evident throughout his career. He was known for his courage and willingness to stand up for and protect those in need. His generous spirit extended beyond his home and community; following severe storms in Puerto Rico, Douglas traveled there to assist with restoration efforts, giving his time and strength to help restore power and bring hope to affected communities.
Douglas found great joy in riding motorcycles, embracing the freedom of the open road and sharing those rides with family and friends. Above all, he cherished his family and was known for his helping hand, warm smile, and generous heart.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joe Q. Martinez; grandmother, Seferina Gomez Molina; Ricardo Martinez; and numerous aunts and uncles.
He is survived by his mother, Cristena Martinez; his children, Beth Martinez and husband Charlie, Matthew Hernandez, Douglas Martinez, Jr., Marissa Flores, Rodrigo Rangal, and Diego Martinez; and his grandchildren, Angel, Audrey, Andrew, Christopher Moreno, Natilee Hernandez, Aaliyah, and McKenzie Martinez. He is also survived by his siblings Daisy and Stanley Watson and Joann and Christopher Riojas, and his brothers Steven and Connie Martinez and Anthony and Elida Bernal, as well as numerous extended family members and dear friends.
Memorial Contributions may be made in honor of Douglas's lifelong spirit of giving, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in his name to his favorite charities: Toys for Tots or The Salvation Army Angel Tree.
