Elizabeth Jade Groover, 22, passed away Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at her home.
Public viewing will be from 10:00 AM until 8:00 PM Friday, October 2, 2026 and from 9:00 AM until 1:30 PM Saturday, October 3, 2026, at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel. Funeral Service will be 2:00 PM Saturday, October 3, 2026, at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel with Pastor Clinton Connor, officiating, under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.
Miss. Groover was born March 11, 2004 in Fort Worth. Elizabeth has been a resident of Carlsbad and Water Valley areas for the majority of her life. Elizabeth was a 2022 graduate of Water Valley High School. Elizabeth loved dancing as a child and being the light of the party, which carried into her adult years as being a dancer and entertainer. She always loved to paint, write in her journal and photography. She loved the outdoors and considered herself a nature lover and animal lover of all creatures. She had dreams of having her own homestead and going to college one day. Her greatest joy was being a mother, that's where her heart truly laid in life. Elizabeth took pride in her appearance, doing her make-up, dressing up for any and all events. Even if it was to sit on the couch while eating a snack. You could never describe Elizabeth's appearance as it was always changing. She was a fashionista. Elizabeth will always be remembered as a "free spirit".
Survivors include her parents, Amanda and Kim Weeks of Carlsbad; her young daughter, Lillian "Lilly" Groover of the home; a brother, Toby Groover of Canyon; Step Siblings Josh Weeks of Waxahachie and Audrey Miller of San Angelo, her life partner, Chance Doty of the home; her grandparents, Kathryn Bryant of Fort Worth, Charles Groover of San Angelo, Bob and Patsy Smith of Lubbock, and Jim Weeks of Lamesa; and many, many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Elizabeth was preceded in death by a grandmother, Mary Groover.
