Donna Jean Brunson Daugherty, 88, passed away at home on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at her home.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at Fairview Cemetery in Bronte. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.
Mrs. Daugherty was born on September 18, 1938 in Bronte, to parents Lois and Rance Brunson, she was an only child. She married her husband Alan Daugherty on November 12, 1965. He passed away on February 7, 2022. Donna retired from GTE in 1991, after 27 years of service. She was an artist and antique collector, a devoted wife and a loving mother of three, grandmother of three and great-grandmother of four, along with Coco, her faithful companion of eight years.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents Lois and Rance Brunson and husband of 56 years, Alan "Bill" Daugherty.
Donna is survived by her three children: Mark Saunders and wife Cindy of Bronte, Laurie Saunders of San Angelo and Heidel Daugherty and husband Robert Kelley of Spring; three grandchildren: Judd Toeppich and wife Brandi, Bailey Leeton and husband Drew and Gus Saunders and wife Jennifer and four great-grandchildren: Hagen Leeton, Hylan Leeton, Levi Saunders and Myla Toeppich.
