Francisco V. Arango, age 93, from Christoval, Texas was born in Durango, Mexico to his mother, Amelia Arango. On February 14, 1960, he married the loved of his life, Amelia Gonzalez Parra and together they had one son - Francisco G. Arango. He was blessed with 7 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, whom he loved dearly.
Francisco moved to Christoval, Texas at the young age of 17 to work at a ranch for Wilbur and Lola Mae Brown. He was a ranch hand for the Brown Ranch for over 60 years. He also had the honor of later working for their 2 sons, Winfred Brown and Daniel Brown, who he loved like brothers. Francisco loved working with horses and cattle, and all forms of ranch work. He loved his many dogs and loved going hunting and trapping with them. He also enjoyed raising goats and loved to share his passion with his grandchildren.
Francisco was preceded in death by his wife, Amelia Gonzalez Arango; son, Martin Arango; brothers, Evaristo Arango and Anastacio Arango; and sister, Josefina Parra Arango.
Survivors are his daughter, Carmen Arango; son, Frank Arango and wife Idalia; grandchildren, Nathan and wife Jessica (Nayeli), Mandi Young and husband Brian (Layla and Andrew), Julie Clark and husband Austin, Hector Arango, Elena Arango, Elma Cordova, and Elvia Ontiveros. He had a special nephew, Antonio Parra, and two very special friends, Ms. Lou Brown and Mr. Dan Brown.
The family would like to extend a very special thanks to Dr. Cheraku, Dr. Marty Rivera, and to Gentiva Hospice of San Angelo; as well as the many friends and family for all the love and prayers sent.
A rosary for Francisco will be held at 6 PM on Tuesday September 8, 2026 at Johnson's Funeral Home in San Angelo, Texas. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM on Wednesday, September 9, 2026 at Immaculate Conception Mission Church in Knickerbocker, Texas. Interment will follow at Ivy Cemetery in Christoval, Texas.
Serving as pallbearers are Nathan Arango, Andrew Young, Brian Young, Austin Clark, Hector Arango, and Martin Cortez. Honorary pallbearers are Dan Brown, George Kuykendall, Henry Begil, Cary Tomerlin, Byron Sawyer, and Crisanto Martinez.

Francisco V. Arango, edad 93 años de Christoval, Texas nacio en Durango, Dgo Mexico de la Sra. Amelia Arango. El dia 14 de Febrero de 1960 se caso con el amor de su vida Amelia Gonzalez Parra, y tuvieron un hijo Francisco G. Arango. El fue bendicido con 7 nietos y 16 bisnietos ha quien adoraba con toda su alma.
Francisco llego ha Christoval, Texas ha la edad de 17 años ha trabajar en el rancho de Wilbur y Lola Mae Brown. El fue el caporal de Rancho Brown por mas de 60 años. Tambien tuvo la dicha de trabajar con los hijos de Wilbur Brown, que eran Winfre Brown y Daniel Brown, y los amaba como hermanos. Ha el le encantavan los caballos y todo trabajo de rancho. Ha francisco le encantava tambien ir ha casar con sus perritos y le encantava quidar sus chivitos. Siempre iba con sus nietos a ver todos los animales del rancho.
Francisco fue procedido en la muerte por su esposa Amelia, su madre Amelia, un hijo Martin Arango, sus dos hermanos Evaristo Arango y Anastacio Arango, y una hermana Josefina Parra Arango.
Sobrevivientes son su hija Carmen Arango, hijo Francisco Arango y esposa Idalia, sus nietos Nathan Arango y esposa Jessica (Nayeli), Mandi Young y esposo Brian (Layla y Andrew), Julie Clark y esposo Austin, Hector Arango, Elena Arango, Elma Cordova, y Elvia Ontiveros. Tenia el un sobrino especial Antonio Parra y dos muy especiales amistades la Sra. Lou Brown y el Sr. Dan Brown.
La familia esta muy agradecida con los servicios del Dr. Cheraku, Dr. Marty Rivera, y Gentiva Hospice of San Angelo.
El rezo del rosario por Francisco tendrá lugar el martes 8 de septiembre de 2026 a las 6:00 p. m. en la funeraria Johnson's Funeral Home de San Angelo, Texas. La misa de exequias se celebrará el miércoles 9 de septiembre de 2026 a las 10:00 a. m. en la iglesia Immaculate Conception Mission Church de Knickerbocker, Texas. El sepelio se llevará a cabo posteriormente en el cementerio Ivy Cemetery de Christoval, Texas.
Actúan como portadores del féretro Nathan Arango, Andrew Young, Brian Young, Austin Clark, Hector Arango y Martin Cortez. Los portadores honorarios son Dan Brown, George Kuykendall, Henry Begil, Cary Tomerlin, Byron Sawyer y Crisanto Martinez.
