Roy Rodriguez, 58, passed away Tuesday, September 1, 2026, in San Angelo.
Public viewing will be from 10:00 AM until 8:00 PM with a Prayer Service being at 6:00 PM Thursday, September 3, 2026, at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel. Graveside Service will be 2:00 PM Friday, September 4, 2026, at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
Mr. Rodriguez was born December 19, 1967 in San Angelo to Santos, Sr. and Delia Rodriguez, where he was a lifetime resident. Roy was the sound man for the 12 Mile band since there inception. Roy loved being behind a sound board, and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors includes a brother, Richard M. Rodriguez and wife Mary; 2 sisters, Sylvia Guzman, and Delia Gonzales; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Roy was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Santos "Juge" Rodriguez, Jr., Raymond Rodriguez, and Tommie "Chat" Rodriguez.
The family would like to thank the staff of Shannon Medical Center, and Hospice of San Angelo, especially Lacey, and Christina, for their love and care.

Roy had been with 12 Mile since the very beginning, but his impact on our music community goes back far beyond us. Music was a part of his life, and he became a part of so many of ours.
Roy was one of the most genuine, caring, and compassionate souls you could ever have the privilege of knowing. He was the kind of man who would give you the shirt off his back without thinking twice.
That was just Roy. He cared about his people in a way that was rare. Hell, he even went and got ordained just so he could marry our bass player, Jimmy. That tells you everything you need to know about the kind of friend and brother he was. When Roy loved you, he showed up for you.
Whether he was behind the soundboard, helping a musician, sharing a laugh, or simply being there when someone needed him, Roy was always there with that huge heart of his.
Some people become more than just part of the crew-they become family. Roy was family.
Our stages, our shows, and our hearts won't be the same without you, brother. We love you, Shots Bro. Thank you for every show, every laugh, every memory, and every moment you shared with us.
Rest easy, Roy. You'll always be part of 12 Mile. ❤️"
