Joshua Allan Huff, age 47, left this world for his heavenly home on Sunday, July 5, 2026, in San Angelo, Texas, surrounded by family, after a courageous battle with cancer. Josh was born September 21, 1978, in Ft. Worth, Texas. His parents are Dwain(stepfather) and Dawn Martin Psencik of Eden and Mike Huff of Ajijia, Mexico.
Josh attended Lee Junior High in San Angelo, Texas, and was a 1997 graduate of Eden High School in Eden, Texas. He was a licensed paramedic. Through the years, Josh worked at Neff’s Amusement Park, Sam Goody’s, Hastings, and various urgent care facilities in the San Antonio, Texas, area. He enjoyed playing video games with his sons and close friends and watching movies about superheroes. He was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys. As a class project, he produced a home video spoof of an episode of X-Files. Josh’s favorite activity was spending time with his sons-Ashton, Jaxson, and Lexson. In Eden HS, he participated in band, football, basketball, One-Act Play, and FFA; as a senior, he qualified for UIL Journalism-Headline Writing competition at the state level.
Josh is survived by his 3 sons-Ashton, Jaxson, and Lexson Huff and their mother Tarren Huff of Bulverde, Texas; his parents-Dwain and Dawn Psencik of Eden, Texas; his father Michael Huff of Ajijia, Mexico; his maternal grandmother Helen Martin of Eden; his sisters-Sarah(Wendy)Huff of Manor, Texas, and children Aspen, Alyssa, and Hayden Garcia of San Angelo, Texas; Melissa(Josef) Holme and children Ella and Ethan of Austin, Texas; Rebecca(Mark) Guthrie and children Wyatt and Libby of Buda, Texas; and Rachel(Trustin) Volesky and children Harper and Ben of Buda, Texas; and a special family friend, Brian Turk, of Eden, Texas. Josh also leaves many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends to cherish memories of him. He is predeceased by his maternal grandfather Bill (Papaw) Martin, paternal grandparents Mary Frances and Carl Kemp, and chosen brother Roger Dean Kirschbaum.
Visitation for Josh Huff will be Thursday, July 9, from 5 until 7pm, at Harper Funeral Home in Eden, Texas; his funeral service will be Friday, July 10, at 3pm, at the First Baptist Church in Eden, Texas, with burial to follow in Eden Cemetery. Pastor John Curry will officiate the service with Mike Turner providing the music. The service will be live streamed on First Baptist Church, Eden, Texas Facebook page. Pallbearers will be Josh’s cousin Casey Huff, nephews Aspen and Hayden, and Jimmy Garcia.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude’s Research Hospital.
