Stella Flores Flores, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, peacefully passed away on June 10,2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 14, 1930, in San Angelo, Texas, to Paula and Francisco (Red) Flores. Stella married Daniel G Flores on July 9, 1951, and celebrated 43 years together; they had 9 children. Stella's journey through life was one of unwavering love, dedication, and selflessness.
Stella dedicated her early years to housekeeping, where her hard work and meticulous care made her indispensable to the homes she served. Later in life, she embarked on another remarkable journey filled with the joy of helping nurture and raise her beloved grandchildren.
Stella is survived by her cherished children: Sylvia Cruz, Sally (Greg) Flores, Sandra Flores, Joe (Shirley) Flores, Sharon (Steve) Ortiz, Stella Flores Ortiz (Marcos DelaRosa), Willie (Sandra) Flores, Susan (Kendall) Thompson, and Jerry Flores, as well as her dear brother Tony Flores, and a very special niece Cathy Gonzales, all of San Angelo. Stella's legacy also lives on through her 25 adoring grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Daniel G. Flores; her parents, Paula and Francisco (Red) Flores ; her son-in-law, Henry Cruz; grand-daughter Cynthia Cruz; and her siblings Frank Flores, Nick Flores, Eva Flores, Henry Flores, Noe Flores, Pauline Robles, and Adela Trevino and several nieces and nephews. Stella's reunification with these cherished loved ones brings comfort in this time of sorrow.
The honor of pallbearers will be carried by her grandsons Henry Cruz Jr., Greg Flores III, Heath Sanchez, Justin Flores, Stevie Ortiz, Michael Ortiz, Jaylen Flores, and Luis Nico Vitela IV.
Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Cruz, Jay Sanchez, Charlie Martinez, David Ortiz, Randy Ortiz and Jaime Ortiz.
A visitation and Rosary will be held on Sunday, June 14, 2026 at 6:00pm. A Mass celebrating Stella's life will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church on Monday, June 15, 2026 at 10:30 am followed by her interment at Calvary Cemetery. Stella Flores Flores touched the lives of many with her unwavering love, kindness, and devotion. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those fortunate enough to know and love her. May she rest in eternal peace.
