Linda Lou Biden, 87, of Midland TX, died peacefully at Menard Manor on April 21, 2026. Linda was born on July 25, 1938, in Mason County IL, and lived there until middle school, when her parents decided to move to TX for employment in the oilfield industry. She was preceded in death by two brothers Buddy and Graden.
While in TX, Linda married Larry Moffatt and had four children: Tambera Stickney (deceased), Dana McBride (deceased), Susan Moffatt of Menard County, TX, and Brandt Moffatt of DuPage County, IL. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren: Chasidy, Joshua, Molly, Ginger, John, Bryan (deceased), Hannah; 13 great grandchildren: Landon, Austin, Layne, Blaise, Laken, Logan, Skyler, Karsyn, Kinley, Alyssa, Cade, Bryan Jr., and Brene’; and 3 great-great grandchildren: Bryndle, Denver, and Beaux.
Linda and Larry owned and operated Moffatt Carpet and Furniture of Lamesa, Big Springs, and Midland. After selling two of the locations, they acquired and operated McLoyd’s Spirits (north and south) in Midland, along with Moffatt Carpets. Linda managed several parts of each business and was also a full-time mother supporting the family with meals, laundry, cleaning, cooking, and shopping.
Linda later married George Biden and lived on the east coast in Maine. Following the passing of George, Linda moved back to Midland and was active in her church (First Presbyterian), auctions, and owned/operated estate sales for many years. She loved antiques, flow blue china, furs, and jewelry. She also was a great cook, canned many vegetables, and made a terrific 3-layer chocolate cake.
A memorial service will be held at First Presbyterian Church in Midland, TX on Saturday, May 23rd at 10:00 am.
