Fairy Grosshans Hite, 90, of San Angelo passed away November 19th, 2025. Fairy was born August 31st, 1935 in San Angelo, TX . She married John Dean Hite on October 14th, 1955. Fairy will be remembered for her brilliant smile, her passion for protecting animals, as well as a determined spirit matched by her loving kindness. She enjoyed gatherings with family, friends and Christian fellowship at several churches throughout the years including North Side, West Angelo, Johnson Street and Southgate Churches of Christ, in addition to Victory Christian Center, all of San Angelo. The family appreciates the many friendships developed over the years. Each relationship has been a blessing.
Fairy’s career included roles as an executive secretary and administrative assistant before retiring. She was employed by Webb, Stokes, and Sparks law firm as well as Wells Fargo Bank. Fairy demonstrated professionalism and integrity in every task she completed.
Survivors include her daughters Denise Pinkus and husband Bill of Cary, North Carolina, and DeLois Ronaghan and husband Michael of Boerne; grandchildren Lauren, Erin, James and John Ronaghan; brother Kenneth Grosshans of Monahans, Sisters-in-law Ruby and husband Jerry Applebee of San Angelo, Barbara Self of Beeville, and Bonnie Campbell of San Angelo; many nieces and nephews; in addition to her dear friend Rena Gaines.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, December 20th at Johnson’s Funeral home with Dr. Jerry Roach of Victory Christian Center speaking.
