Porfirio Villareal Ortiz, 84, passed away on Thursday, September 18, 2025.
Graveside services will be 11:00 AM on Wednesday, September 24, 2025 in Glen Rest Cemetery in Big Lake. Arrangements are under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.
Mr. Ortiz was born on September 15, 1941 in Ciudad Acuna, Mexico to Prudencio and Antonia Villareal Ortiz. He married Maria De Jesus Jimenez in 1960. They moved to Millers View in 1969 and settled in Big Lake in 1980. He worked on pulling units for Globe Well Service for 27 years.
Porfirio was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Maria De Jesus Ortiz; his daughter, Ofelia J. Ortiz, a son, Porfirio Ortiz, Jr.; and two great granddaughters, Nikaya Ortiz and JennaLee Briseño.
He is survived by two sons, Pedro Ortiz and wife Sonia and Augustine Ortiz and wife Dora all of Big Lake; eight siblings, Luis Ortiz of Grandbury, Conrao Ortiz of Mexico, Nati Ortiz of Brackettville, Petra Ortiz of Mexico, Ines Ortiz of Marble Falls, Lalo Ortiz of Johnson City, Luis Ortiz of Marble Falls and Linda Ortiz of Mexico.
