GEORGIA EMILIE MICHALIK SIMCIK died on August 25, 2025. She was born February 22, 1927 in Williamson County, Texas to Anton and Emilie Jansa Michalik, who preceded her in death. She attended schools in Williamson and Tom Green County and graduated from Shannon School of Nursing in 1947.
She married Wilford Joseph Simcik in 1947. They were members of the Wall Brethren Church, serving in many areas. She was employed as a Registered Nurse at Shannon Hospital from 1947 until her retirement in 1989. She specialized in Labor and Delivery.
She was preceded in death by daughter Elizabeth (Beth) Simcik Stasey McCarver Cornelius, grandson John Benjamin Nichols Il, three sons-in-law, William McCarver, William Cornelius, Andy Dickson, four brothers, Edmond, Reuben, Albert, and Daniel, and three sisters, Libby Kutter, Esther Chasak, and Angeline Simcik and special niece Janet Simcik Huling Holland. She is survived by sister Noemi Drgac, daughters Deborah (Ben) Nichols, Becky (Andy) Dickson, and Paula (Bob) Palmer Kershaw; grandchildren Shane Nichols, AJ (Deanna) Dickson, Tim (Esther) Dickson, Catherine McCarver, Christine (Jacob) Curda, Zachary (Hannah) Palmer, Joseph Shonna) Palmer, and Jonathan (Whitney) Kershaw. She is also survived by 19 great grandchildren and one great great-granddaughter, special nieces Cindy (Roy) Martin, Kathy (Jimmy) Harris, Peggy (Gary Black, and Nancy (Shawn) Oliver, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. One of her greatest joys was her church family.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 29th from 7-8 pm at Johnson’s Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, August 30th at 11:00 am at the Wall Brethren Church, with interment following at Lawnhaven Cemetery.
