Delwin "Pudd" Greer, 67, of Eldorado, Texas, passed away peacefully in his home on August 23, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on March 7, 1958, in Durango, Colorado, to Douglas and Alma Greer. Pudd’s life was an adventure.
Pudd was the cornerstone of his family. He married Brenda, his true soulmate, on January 20th, 1983, and together they spent over 42 years raising three perfect children and filling their home with love and laughter. Pudd’s greatest joy in life was his grandchildren. He cherished every moment spent with them, always eager to spoil them with love and ice cream.
Pudd spent more than 36 years as a lineman and electrician with Southwest Texas Electric Co-Op, where he became a legend in his own right. Known for his exceptional skill, unshakable integrity, and tireless work ethic, Pudd earned the respect and admiration of everyone who worked alongside him. When help was needed, Pudd was your go to guy. Beyond his experience , it was his exceptional ability to connect with others and make them feel like family that truly set him apart. Pudd’s dedication to his family and the Co-Op lives on in the memories, stories, and acts of kindness he leaves behind.
Pudd was preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Bryon. He is survived by his wonderful wife Brenda; his children Hallie Sosolik (Erik) and their daughters, Steelie & Charlee; Buddy Greer (Bekah) and their children, Devin & Jaelyn; and his son Dillon, and his children, Boston, Maverick, and Summit; siblings Elaine (Robert) Carlisle, Lloyd (Carol) Greer, Greg (Patti) Greer, and Sherry (John) Slater, as well as countless nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss his warmth, humor, and easy-going nature.
Pudd’s love, kindness, and dedication left a lasting impact on all who knew him. His warmth and laughter will be cherished by everyone he touched.
A memorial service to celebrate Pudd’s life will be held on Saturday, August 30th, at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Eldorado. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to a charity of your choice in Pudd’s memory.
