Daniel Helm, 74, went to be with his Lord at 11:17 AM, Wednesday, June 25, 2025, surrounded by family who adore and admire him, and can't wait to see him again in the coming kingdom.
The Celebration of Life Service will be at 4:00 PM Sunday, June 29, 2025, at Angelo Bible Church, 3506 Sherwood Way, San Angelo, Texas 76901, with Pastor Jim Stanley,officiating. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.
Daniel was born on October 8, 1950 in Colorado City to William and Marguerite Helm, and has been a resident of San Angelo since 1976. Daniel shared two children with his former wife Debra Wilson, and married Carolyn Jolley on March 10, 1995 and through their union came three more children whom he loved as his own. He owned and operated MD Helm Services from 1989 until his retirement in 2003, and used his retirement to raise his youngest son. Everyone who knew Daniel loved him. Drawn by his kindness, humor, and natural charisma, Daniel made friends wherever he went. Many share good memories of Daniel from dirt bikes, hunting, and camping, all the way to bible studies and prayer groups. It was hard to speak with Daniel for long without hearing about the gospel of Jesus Christ - something that continued to transform and shape his life, even in his later years.
The entirety of Daniel's life proclaimed the saving and transforming work of the gospel. His life shone brightly to anyone in need of salvation through Christ. Daniel was an active member of Angelo Bible Church, where he enjoyed doing projects for the church and its members, and loved spending time with his large family and many grandchildren . His life left a profound impact on all who were blessed to know him. Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Helm; four sons: Donovan Helm, Samuel Helm, Tyler Pustka, and Mitchell Pustka; a daughter, Patti Resendez; ten grandchildren; and many brothers and sisters. Daniel was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter, Sarah Helm Brown; and several brothers and sisters.
