On June 3rd, our beloved mother and grandmother, Amelia Arango, was called to her eternal rest.
Amelia "Buela" Gonzalez Arango, age 94, from Christoval, Texas, was born in Durango, Mexico. Her parents were Mr. Jesus Gonzalez Gallegos and Mrs. Dominga Parra. On February 14, 1960, she married Mr. Francisco V. Arango and they had one son, Francisco G. Arango, who was the love of her life. Amelia had three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren whom she adored with all her heart. She also had many nieces and nephews whom she loved very much. All her life, Amelia was a homemaker. She enjoyed knitting, cooking, and watching her soap operas. She was always ready to feed everyone who visited her. She loved spending time with her family, both in Durango and here at home.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her two brothers, Samuel Castaneda and Jesus Gonzalez Parra, and her only sister, Rosa Gonzalez Parra.
Amelia is survived by her husband, her son, Francisco Arango and his wife, Idalia, her grandchildren, Nathan Arango and his wife, Jessica, Mandi Young and her husband, Brian, and Julie Clark and her husband, Austin, and her grandchildren, Layla Young, Andrew Young, and Nayeli Arango. She also had a stepdaughter, Carmen Arango.
The family extends a sincere thank you to all the staff at Schleicher County Nursing Home.
Buela will live in the hearts of all her loved ones forever.
El dia 3 de Junio, nuestra madrecita y abuela querida, Amelia Arango fue llamada ha su eterno descanso.
Amelia "Buela" Gonzalez Arango, edad 94 anos, de Christoval, Texas y nacio en Durango, Mexico. Sus padres eran el senor Jesus Gonzalez Gallegos y la senora Dominga Parra. El 14 de Febrero de 1960 se caso con el senor Francisco V. Arango y tuvieron un hijo, Francisco G. Arango que era el amor de su vida. Amelia tenia 3 nietos y 3 bisnietos quien adoraba con todo su corazon, Tambien tenia muchos sobrinos y sobrinas ha quienes quieria mucho. Toda su vida, Amelia fue ama de casa. Le gustava tejer, cociniar, y ver sus telenovelas. Siempre estava lista para darle de comer ha todos que la visitavan. Le encantava reunirse con su familia, tanto en Durango como aqui en su hogar.
Fue procedida en la muerte por sus padres, sus dos hermanos Samuel Castaneda y Jesus Gonzalez Parra, y su unica hermana Rosa Gonzalez Parra.
Amelia es sobrevivida por su esposo, su hijo Francisco Arango y esposa Idalia, sus nietos Nathan Arango y esposa Jessica, Mandi Young y esposo Brian, y Julie Clark y esposo Austin, y sus nietos Layla Young, Andrew Young, y Nayeli Arango. Tambien tenia un hijastra Carmen Arango
