Maria Saldana Montez, of Bronte, Tx passed away on the 18th of May, 2025. She was born on August 26th, 1951 in Mereta Texas to Pedro and Isabel Saldana. She began her career working for Ethicon Inc. as a lineworker. Maria Saldana married Raul Montez on July 31st, 1971 and had 3 children. Maria was a proud member of New Life in Christ Church and had a passion for cooking for her family, sewing, and her plants, and will always be remembered for her family game nights, watching her favorite TV shows, and her devoted involvement with the church, helping in any way possible.
Funeral services will be held on May 28th, 2025 at 1:00pm at New Life in Christ 214 N. Jefferson St., Bronte, Tx. Pallbearers for the service will be Mario Montez, Justin Saldana, Benny Jr. Fuentez, Randall Barnett, Carlos Fuentez, Joshua Fuentez, Alouis III Bannert, and Billy Bannert. Maria is preceded in death by her parents Pedro and Isabel Saldana, Sisters Isabel Saldana, and Refugia Saldana Hogeda, Brothers Geraldo Saldana, Pedro Saldana, Joe Saldana, Daniel Saldana, and Ricardo Saldana, and daughter Angelina Saldana.
Maria is survived by her children Debbie Montez Bannert, and Mario Montez. Grandchildren Benny Jr. Fuentez, Justin and wife Betsy Saldana, Maria and Husband Randall Barnet, Carlos Fuentez, Joshua Fuentez, Jessica Montez, Alouis III Bannert, and Billy Bannert. Great-Grandchildren Aries Saldana, Tiffani Saldana, Rachel Barnett, Gracie Saldana, Isabelle Barnett, Justin Saldana Jr., and Elina Saldana. As well as many nieces and nephews.
