Roland P. Garcia, age 71, of San Angelo, Texas, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 9, 2025. Born on February 11, 1954, in San Angelo, he was the beloved son of Kenneth Keys and Elida (Garcia) Velez.
After graduating high school, Roland pursued a career in trucking, earning his CDL and dedicating his life to the open road. Over the years, he worked with several companies and proudly owned and operated his own trucking business at one time as well.
In November of 1970, Roland married Rosalie Zuniga, and together they welcomed three children. Later in life, he found love again and married Pamela (Perez) Garcia, who played a meaningful role in the lives of his children and family.
Roland had a deep love for football and golf and could often be found either playing or watching his favorite teams. He was known for his bold opinions, his big smile, and even bigger heart.
He is preceded in death by his parents and both of his wives. He leaves behind a legacy of love and family through his children: Ann Marie Garcia (Martin Ledezma), Liza Marie Carrasco (Robert Carrasco), and Michael Anthony Garcia (Molly Garcia); his sisters, Rickie Zuniga and Cindy Velez; his grandchildren: Samantha Garcia, Nyome Sepeda, Robert Carrasco Jr., Chasydee Carrasco, Alek Carrasco, Crystal Sepeda, Peggy Sepeda, Yolanda Sepeda, Analisa Sepeda, and Talixe Aguero; as well as 19 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom will continue to cherish his memory.
A rosary will be recited at 6:00 PM on Friday, May 23, 2025, at Johnson’s Funeral Home Chapel.
