Willard "Bill" Leslie Villers, 96, of San Angelo, Texas passed away peacefully on May 1, 2025. He was born on February 23, 1929, in Kearney, Missouri, to Linzy and Gladys Villers and was one of nine siblings - three brothers and five sisters.
As a young man, Bill proudly served his country in the United States Navy during World War II. After returning home, he built a successful career as the owner and operator of his own heating, ventilation, and air conditioning business. He earned a reputation for his hard work, integrity, and skilled craftsmanship.
Bill found joy in life's simple pleasures - hunting, fishing, and manning the smoker at family barbecues. He had a poetic soul, often expressing his deep faith and love for God through heartfelt writing. His spiritual life was a cornerstone of his identity, and he was a devoted longtime member of the Full Gospel Assembly.
Bill was married to Hildegarde Kurtz and later to Jessie Sparks. He was a loving father to his son, Jimmy Villers and his wife Brenda, and to his daughter, Peggy Liebo and her husband Harold. He cherished his grandchildren - Shea Harris, Shannon Klepac, Wendy Liebo, and Nicholas Liebo - and took great joy in his great-grandchildren: Madison Sierra, Sloane and Hayes Klepac, and Hailey and Colton Liebo.
Bill leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and unwavering faith. He will be remembered as a kind and generous man, known for his sharp wit and his deep appreciation for life's blessings.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff at Sagecrest Care Center for their compassionate care. in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the West Texas Rehabilitation Center, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, or the Salvation Army.
Visitation will be held from 5-7 PM on Monday May 5, 2025 at Johnson's Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 2 PM on Tuesday May 6, 2025 at Johnson's Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens with Pastor Mack Roller officiating.
