Geneva B. Apolinar, 66, of San Angelo passed away on Sunday, April 20, 2025.
Celebration of life services will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.
Mrs. Apolinar was born on August 14, 1958 in San Antonio to Humberto and Anita Bonheart Apolinar. Geneva graduated from John F. Kennedy High School in 1977. She worked as a manager at Whataburger, Dr. Robinson's office, and as an aide in San Antonio ISD. She married Edward Gonzales, Jr. in 1994 right before they moved to San Angelo. She worked for News Photo and Towne and Country. Later, Geneva was a teacher's aide with San Angelo ISD fro 15 years, retiring in 2016. She loved dancing, music, lotteria, and making confetti eggs. At work, she was the fiercest 5 foot woman you would ever meet. At home, she was a sweet, loving, caring and helpful wife, sister, mother, and grandmother. She loved spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward in 2012; a sister, Alice; and two brothers, Rick and Ted.
Geneva is survived by two daughters, Alice Marie Apolinar and Trini-Lynn Gonzales both of San Angelo; two sons-in-law, Derek Medina, Sr. and Joshua Roye both of San Angelo; two step children, Shawn Gonzales and Cathryn Gonzales both of San Antonio; three, brothers, Humberto Apolinar, Frank Apolinar, and Joe Apolinar; seven grandchildren, Dallas, Rikayah, Jazzlynn, Derek, Jr., Edward, Ayden, and Liam; six, extended grandchildren, Savannah, Jazmyne, Angelyna, Xavier, and SJ; and two extended great grandchildren.
