Our dear Dad, Eddie Watson, passed away on Apr 20, 2025, at home with his daughters at his side, in San Angelo, TX. He was preceded in death by his wife of 66yrs, Janice in July of 2024, and is survived by his daughters Vicki Keck and Kheva Flowers, his 5 grandchildren Mark Keck Jr and family, Cassie Garrison and family, Kinsey Aryn Keck, Tyler Travis and family, and Brady Flowers and family.
Eddie was a simple man, a devoted husband and father. He was humble and took pride in working hard and caring for his family. He had an easy-going personality and was well respected by those who knew and worked with him. Dad was born in St Louis, Missouri and he recently stated that relocating to Texas in 1968 was the best decision he ever made.
Dad’s passions in life were his wife, children, a few good dogs, and creating a peaceful haven out of his yard for his grandkids to run, play, hunt Easter eggs, and throw water balloons. Can’t forget how he loved to work the grill and produce mouth-watering meals for us! Dad was the behind-the-scenes support, enabling the fun and sometimes elaborate activities and celebrations his wife, our mother Janice, came up with. Together they loved each other, being grandparents, and creating fun, laugh-out-loud memories with their 5 grandchildren.
He and mom had such fun helping orchestrate family reunions in Missouri, and going to Branson for long weekends. Dad really enjoyed going into little shops and looking through seemingly insignificant treasures. Late in life, Dad’s vision began to fail him, and he would often be found sitting outside with his bestie, Drifter D, at his side, just enjoying the peace and quiet, but prior to that he enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys, doing puzzles, and solving word searches.
Our dad was a success in all the ways that matter: he loved, he supported, he nurtured, he listened, and he provided. He made his children proud, and our hope is that he left this life knowing how much he was appreciated and loved.
