Kenneth "Red" Brown, 74, passed away Wednesday, April 16, 2025 in Big Lake.
Public viewing will be from 10:00 AM until 8:00 PM with family visitation from 5:30 PM until 7:30 PM on Monday, April 21, 2025 at Robert Massie Funeral Home. Graveside service will be Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Glen Rest Cemetery in Big Lake. Arrangements are under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.
Kenneth was born March 25, 1951 in Casper, Wyoming to John and Virginia Doores Brown. He attended Upton High School in Wyoming and moved to Big Lake, Texas in 1980, where he met the love of his life, Georgia Howard. Red worked many years in the oil field industry as a Drilling Rig Superintendent until his retirement in 2010. Red had a love for Harley Davidson motorcycle, fishing, cold Budweiser and enjoyed sneaking away with his wife to go back road riding. You always knew if there was a stray animal he would give it a home. Red was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
He is proceeded in death by his Parents; his step-mother Caryl Brown; son Shawn Brown, sister Cindy Boyle, brother Ed Brown, father-in-law and mother-in-law O.L. & Dorothy Howard; brother-in-laws Robert Howard and Johnnie Howard.
Red is survived by his wife, Georgia Brown; three daughters, Jo Diana Brown of Wyoming, Tira M. Brown of Big Lake and Marsha Martinez of San Angelo; one son, Paul K. Brown of Montana; an honorary daughter-in-law, Crystal Quinney; nine grandkids, Samantha, Nicholas, Paige, Nicole, Zachary, Tristan, Kiera, Axel and Joseph; five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Dave Brown of South Dakota and Ross Brown and husband Jody of New Mexico; one sister, Jo Kissack and husband Doug of Wyoming; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and adopted grandchildren.
The family would like to give special thanks to the Reagan County Sheriffs Department, paramedics, and the local hospital.
