Edna Perez Velez, a fiercely loving mother, grandmother, and devoted wife, peacefully passed away surrounded by her family, leaving behind a legacy of strength, faith, and endless love. Born in Sonora, Texas, she was the daughter of Alfredo Sr. and Elena Perez. She is preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Ester.
She is survived by her husband Ruben and their four children: David, Elena, Veronica, and LeAnna. Her love lives on in her grandchildren—Xavier, Kennadi, Layla, Gabriel, and Leah—as well as her great-grandson, Matteo. She also leaves behind her sons-in-law Ray Reyes and David Cortinez, her brothers Alfredo Jr., Roberto, and Oscar, and many cherished nieces and nephews.
Edna was a woman of deep faith, a strong believer in the power and protection of all the Saints. Her sense of humor was all her own—sharp, warm, and unforgettable. She had a feisty spirit that lit up every room she walked into and a deep love for her family that never wavered.
She was the heart of her home, a steady presence through every storm, and the one who made sure her family always felt loved, protected, and proud of where they came from.
