Dolores Virginia Pond, 94 of San Antonio, Texas , passed away on Sunday, April 6, 2025.
She was born on December 3, 1930 in Winters, Texas to Brodie and Clarice Gray. Dolores attended Spade High School and graduated in the class of 1947.
Dolores married Dale Pond on October 4 of 1946 and the couple had three children. She had a passion for dancing and she loved learning as much as possible at every job she held.
Dolores was preceded in passing by her beloved husband , C. Dale Pond; son , Michael Pond; infant Grandchildren , Joshua and Cresta Knell; Parents, Brodie and Clarice Gray; brother, Zane Gray.
Left to cherish Dolores’s memory is her son, Robert Pond and wife Mary, daughter, Carol Kirkland and husband Don; granddaughter, Amanda Brashears; grandsons, William Pond (Deanna), Joseph Knell and Kenneth Kirkland; Great-Grandchildren ; Grace Pond, Ava Pond, Madison Knell and Brayden Knell; sisters, Wanda Little and Joann Loudamy; nieces, Lisa Hobbs and Brandi Gray; nephews, Ricky Little and Randy Little.
Dolores also leaves behind a dear friend of hers and Dale’s, Gary Moy.
Visitation for Dolores will be held on Friday April 11 , 2025 from 11 am - 12 PM at Johnson’s Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday April 11, 2025 at Lawnhaven Cemetery, 4989 FM Highway 1223, San Angelo.
The Pond Family would like to thank Devoted Hospice Care ; the Hospice Care nurses especially Miriam; and our special girl Courtney who volunteered to read, visit and spend a little time each week with her. The Family wants to Thank the entire Devoted Care Hospice Group for the love and care they gave our Mother. We want to Thank Allie at Angels from Home and her caregivers for taking care of Mom for the last three years.
