Toni Diane Compton left this earthly world to be with our Lord in heaven on April 4, 2025 in San Angelo, TX. Toni was born in the Rio Grande Valley October 3, 1952 to Tony and Mary Sesso The youngest of 4, she was a graduate of Santa Rosa High School where she participated in many activities such as band and cheerleading. After high school, Toni attended nursing school and obtained her Licensed Vocational Nursing degree Soon after, she obtained her Registered Nursing Degree from Del Mar College in Corpus Christi, and worked as a nursing instructor at Bee County College in Beeville, TX.
It was when she moved to Del Rio, Texas that she met and married the love of her life, Johnny Compton. Johnny and Toni moved to Christoval, Texas where they maintained a small goat ranch. Never leaving the table bare, she always wanted to make sure people never went hungry. She enjoyed cooking and baking. Toni loved gardening and for a few years, she and Johnny maintained the Christoval Baptist Church grounds. Toni loved taking care of others whether it be as a Director of Nurses at nursing homes, or through home health care, she had a passion for nursing for 45 years
Toni was preceded in death by her sister Sarah Sesso, brother Michael Sesso, parents Tony and Mary Sesso, and mother and father- in- law Jay and Cleotis Compton. Toni is survived by her loving husband Johnny, three children- Shawn and Lynn Compton and Michelle Lewis; and two grandchildren: Matthew Compton and Jace Wilkey.
In lieu of flowers, Toni asked that memorial donations be made to the Wounded Warriors Project.
