Shirley Ann Waldrop, 88 of San Angelo passed into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior early Sunday morning, March 30, 2025.
She was born October 8,1936 in San Angelo to Marvin and Myrtle Probst. Shirley was raised with horses and had a wonderful childhood growing up riding with her life-long and best friend Peggy Harris across the dusty streets of north Angelo and traveling to rodeos with her parents and older sister June. Shirley had two handsome little boys when she met the love of her life Lyndon Waldrop, who was a cowboy and fit right in with her passion of Rodeo and riding horses. Together they had another son and a few years later came a beautiful daughter. Shirley was a true cowgirl and loved traveling across the country rodeoing with Lyndon and the kids as much as they could. After many happy years Lyndon passed away leaving her very lonely. Three years later she met and married Coke Barrett and after Coke's passing she was blessed with a very special chihuahua companion named Sadee, whom she loved dearly. Shirley noted the highlight of her life was loving Jesus and hauling her children to rodeos.
