Paula (Luna) Ruiz, 76, of Paint Rock passed away on Thursday, March 27, 2025.
Visitation will be from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM Sunday, March 30, 2025 at Celestial Throne Church, 2121 Lindell Ave, San Angelo, TX 76901 with a prayer service from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 AM Monday, March 31, 2025 at Celestial Throne Church. Burial will follow at 12:00 PM at Paint Rock Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.
Mrs. Ruiz was born on January 25, 1949 in Zaragoza, Coahuila Mexico to Abel and Consuelo Lira Luna. Paula married Jose "Joe" Ruiz on March 27, 1967 in Zaragoza, Mexico. They moved to Paint Rock in 1969. She worked as a seamstress at Levi Straus and at Gerber Childrens Wear. Paula enjoyed her plants, her family, reading the Bible and caring for her yorkie, Tyson. She was a prayer warrior, loving, caring, mom grandmother and wela. She enjoyed attending her son's church, Celestial Throne Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Segundo Luna; a sister, Maria Lopez; and a son, Juan Jose Ruiz.
Paula is survived by her husband of 58 years, Jose; six children, Julia Guerrero and husband Marcus, Carlos Ruiz and wife Erika, Brenda Gomez and husband Phillip, Veronica Orozco and husband Carlos, Josie Ruiz and husband Richard, and Laura Gonzalez and husband Emmanuel all of San Angelo; three siblings, Fidencio Luna and wife Carmen, Juan Luna all of Zaragoza, Mexico and Rodrigo Luna and wife Guillermina of Dallas; 30 grandchildren, Jessica Del Rio and husband Kalvin, JJ Ruiz and wife Misty, Fabian Guerrero, Damian Guerrero, Jasmine Cervantes and husband Ryan, Jovanni Whitehead and husband Avery, Alexis Gomez and fiancé Francisco Joe David Ruiz, Yesenia Avila and husband Ricky, Julian Ruiz, Jonathan Ruiz, Alyssa Turman and husband Kenny, Ramon Hernandez, Emilio Hernandez, Cynthia Orozco, Leslie Orozco, Giovanni Orozco and wife Edith, Sergio Marin and wife Allie, Ashley Orozco, Elijah Ruiz, Xavian Orozco, Neriah Orozco, Dominic Ruiz, Jaelyn Ruiz, Ryan Ruiz, Kaden Ruiz, Carmen Gonzalez, Caleb Gonzalez, Cannan Gonzalez, Elias Gonzalez; 28 great-grandchildren; and her yorkie, Tyson.
