Henrietta James, 89, a beloved Mother, Nana and Great-grandma, of San Angelo passed away on Thursday, March 27, 2025.

Ms. James was born on February 4, 1936 in Birmingham, Alabama to Emanuel James and Minnie Lee Arrington.She grew up in Birmingham and moved to Cleveland, Ohio at the age of 17. Henrietta worked at Woodhill Chemical Plant for over 30+ years, retiring in 1999. She moved to Berlin, Pennsylvania in 2011 and then to San Angelo in 2021. Henrietta enjoyed bowling, fishing, gardening and casinos. She was a strong, independent, Opinionated, kind woman and enjoyed being around her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Henrietta married Robert Wellington of Berlin PA in 1978. Mr. Wellington passed away on July 18, 2021 at home in Berlin, PA.
She is survived by her many friends, relatives and family including her son, Carl James and wife Rosemary of San Angelo; 3 grandchildren, Carl James, Jr. of San Angelo, Christopher James and wife Norma of Redlands, California, and Dawn Jackson and husband Shawn of Denver, Colorado; and six great grandchildren, Patrick, Kenneth, McKenna, Madison, Dashawnna , and Shawn, Jr.
