Charles Legon Reed, 60, departed his earthly home on Wednesday March 26th after numerous chronic medical conditions. He was born May 10, 1964, in San Angelo, TX to Julia F. Reed and Charles E. Reed. Charles attended public school in San Angelo, Texas.
Charles graduated from Concho Career Institute in San Angelo in April of 1989. He was certified in paint and body. Charles was also a certified welder. During Charles youthful years, he was an avid skateboarder and considered himself to be quite skillful despite his occasional tumbles. He had a love for cars, both luxury and sports. He worked with his father at his detail shop, detailing all sorts of vehicles he loved.
Charles leaves to cherish so many memories of love for his loving parents. His mother Julia F. Reed, his father Charles E. Reed (LaRue his other mother,) his brother Cealan Reed, of San Antonio, TX. He had a deep love for his sisters, Jeanette Reed, of San Antonio, TX, Detrina Solomon, of San Angelo, TX and Shawna Walker, of Lubbock, TX; his special Aunt Gloria DeWitt; his other father Al DeShields; his uncles, Milroy Daniels and Bill Daniels (Sherry); and numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other family members.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Grant Reed, Sr. and Mr. and Mrs. Edward Daniels. Also preceding him in death was his beloved sister Venda Tolbert whom he cherished.
The family will receive friends for visitation from 5:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M., Thursday, April 3, 2025, at Harper Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be 11:00 A.M., Friday, April 4, 2025, at Miracle Temple Church of God in Christ. The burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery.
