Sabra Ann Cheney, 59, passed away to be with the Lord in her heavenly home while in San Antonio, Texas on March 12, 2025. She was surrounded by her closest family.
She was born in San Angelo, Texas on November 23, 1965. She attended Arlington Baptist Bible college where she met the love of her life William “Sonny” Cheney. They built a life together in San Angelo where she worked for Shannon Clinic and then in Accounting for Concho Valley Electric Cooperative for almost 20 years.
She is survived by her husband of 39 years, William, her youngest son, Sam, her oldest son and his wife, Will and Jacee, her sister, Rebecca, her mother and father, Shirley and David Adams, her three cherished grandchildren, Remington, Carly and Kelton, and many nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. She is preceded in Death by her brother, Ray, her daughter, Carly, her grandparents, Raymond and Betty Adams, her grandparents, William and Emma Chatham.
Sabra was a fierce friend, a loving mother and wife, and an adoring “Mimi”. She was a devout Christian and an active member at the Four56 Church in San Angelo. She loved to bake, make crafts, fish with her husband, and to sing.
A celebration of her life will be held at PaulAnn Church in San Angelo on Monday March 17th at 1 PM. Visitation with the family will be held at Harper Funeral home on Saturday March 15th from 5 PM to 7 PM. Anyone who knew Sabra or who would like to come to support her loved ones is welcomed to attend. Graveside services will be at Johnson’s Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens.
