Lisa Lynette Lesosky died on March 11, 2025 in San Angelo, Texas, at 68 years of age. She was born in San Angelo on March 5, 1957 to Don and Myrt Mortimore. The family moved to Denton, Texas in 1961 and stayed until 1969 and then moved to Brandon, Florida for a few years, from 1969 to 1972, and then back to San Angelo.
She was raised in San Angelo and graduated from Central High School.
In May of 1979, Lisa married her first husband, Leslie Kramer, and together they lived in Houston from 1980 to 1986 and San Antonio from 1986 to 1991. They had two daughters, Lauren Kramer Baring, born in 1982, and Lindsey Kramer Baxter, born in 1985.
Lisa moved to Uvalde, Texas in 1991 and stayed at home while raising her two daughters. In 2001, she graduated from Sul Ross State University and began teaching English courses at Uvalde High School. She was actively involved with First United Methodist Church of Uvalde, going on mission trips to Costa Rica, and participating on Walk to Emmaus and Chrysalis teams and reunion groups. In June of 2006, Lisa married her second husband, Mark Lesosky, and together, they moved to San Angelo that same year, where Lisa taught English courses at Central High School until 2018.
In April of 2018, Lisa was diagnosed with leukemia and underwent a stem cell transplant (with a donation from her daughter, Lindsey). She underwent treatment in Dallas and stayed there while in recovery until she reached full remission. She consistently wrote texts, letters, and social media posts with the hashtag, #KLA, which was her promise to “kick leukemia’s a**!” Once in remission, Lisa wrote and published a book entitled "Faith Over Fear,” about her journey with leukemia.
Lisa was widely loved for her generous and patience spirit; her intense love for Jesus Christ, which she shared with everyone she met; and her infectious laughter, quick wit, and sarcastic humor. She enjoyed singing (beautifully); playing guitar, including in worship bands at church; and gardening. She loved her children and grandchildren.
Lisa is survived by her loving husband, Mark Lesosky, of San Angelo; daughter, Lauren Kramer Baring and her husband, Scott, of San Angelo; daughter, Lindsey Kramer Baxter and her husband, Matt, of Plano, Texas; stepdaughter Laura Lesosky Shaver, and her husband, Trevor, of New Braunfels, Texas; stepdaughter Lacey Lesosky Nagore and her husband, Javi, of Tucson, Arizona; grandsons, Brody and Grayson Baxter, and Casey, Caleb, and Colton Shaver; brother, Keith Mortimore; nephew, Colin Mortimore and fiancé, Sara Reyes.
