William Gordon Emmons, 86, born April 11th 1938 to Herbert Hiram Emmons and Grace Lee Emmons in Odessa, Texas. He peacefully went on to be with the Lord on March 4, 2025 surrounded by friends and family.
Gordon graduated from Andrews High school in 1956 and served in the US Army from 1961 until 1964. He did his basic training in Ft. Hood, Texas and then served in Germany until his honorable discharge. Gordon moved to Eldorado in 1971. Gordon had a love for family, golf which he played up until a few weeks prior to his death, and ranching which he made a career out of.
Gordon was preceded in death by his mother and father, Sister Doris Lee Doty, Brothers Herb Emmons, Buck Emmons, Jimmy Emmons, David Emmons, Richard Emmons, and Gary Emmons; and several nieces and nephews.
Survived by sister Marth Jean Emmons; son, Stephen Arnold, and his wife, Courtney; and grandchildren, Harley, Micah, and RaeLyn; Nephews, Danny Emmons, Eric Emmons, Conon Emmons; and Niece, Cara Emmons-Castaneda and her Husband, Ernie, and Numerous Great Nieces and Nephews.
Visitation will be Friday March 7th at Love Funeral home in Eldorado until 9pm. Funeral service will be Saturday March 8th at Love Funeral home in Eldorado at 2:00. Interment will follow in Eldorado Cemetery. In leu of flowers, donations can be made to the Eldorado golf course or Alvis F. Johnson home health and Hospice
