Rita Jane Sloan Stracener, 87, of San Angelo, passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2025.
She was born on April 18, 1937 in Johnson City, TX to Ben and Katherine Hallford.
Jane married Max Sloan on February 11, 1956 and had two children, Mark Sloan of Carlsbad, TX and Cathy Sloan Longoria of Mertzon, TX.
She is preceded in death by Max Sloan; Her parent’s, Ben Hallford and Kate Till; Stepfather, TJ Till; Sister, Bobbie Stueler; and Two brothers, Sonny Till and Butch Till.
Left to cherish Jane’s memory is one son, Mark Sloan, and his daughter, Michele Sloan; One daughter, Cathy Sloan Longoria, and her husband, Rudy Longoria; Grandson, Matt Longoria married to Brooke Poehls Longoria with two daughters, Mabrie Jay and Steeley Max; Grandson, Josh Longoria married to Amber Schnitzer Longoria with two sons Nathaniel and Ezra, and one daughter Aubrey; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, February 28th at Johnson’s Funeral Home at 1 pm with burial to follow at Johnson’s Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens.
Surviving children would like to extend a grateful thanks to Norma and Cynthia with San Angelo Nursing and Rehab along with Chaplin Gary Allen with Interim Hospice. A special thanks to TJ Till for fulfilling “Aunt Jane’s” wishes to play her favorite gospel songs.
