Hipolito Gutierrez passed away February 7, 2025 at the age of 83 due to kidney failure. Services will be held on Monday, February 10, 2025 at 2:00p.m. at St. Ann's Catholic Church of Sonora, Texas. Burial will follow in Sonora Cemetery, Sonora, Texas.
Hipolito Gutierrez was born August 14, 1941 to Aurora and Guillermo Gutierrez in Jimenez, Coahuila, Mexico. He was brought to Sonora and raised here. He worked for Holloman Construction and was a sheep shearer for many years. He was married to Yolanda A. Gutierrez until her death on September 16, 1979. He then married Mary Louis, and they were married for 19 years until her death. Hipolito raised his grandchildren Alyssa and Anthony. Hipolito loved to eat sweets, ice cream, menudo, tamales, and drink coke. He loved to do word searches and to ride around town. He also liked to give everyone a hard time. Hipolito Gutierrez leaves behind numerous family members and friends behind.
