Mary Elida Perez, a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on February 5, 2025, and was called home to be with our Lord and Savior. A lifelong resident of San Angelo, Texas, Mary was deeply devoted to her family, friends, and faith. She found great joy in nurturing her loved ones and held steadfast to her Catholic beliefs throughout her life.
Mary shared a beautiful 47 years of marriage with her husband, Ernest Perez, and together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and memories. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ricardo and Aurelia Fuentes; her sister, Oralia Fuentes Ferguson; and her brother, Richard Fuentes.
Mary is survived by her loving husband, Ernest Perez, and her blended family: Arthur and Emma Franco, Brenda and Kerry Solete, Jerry Franco, Danny and Leticia Franco, Stephen Franco, Yolanda Franco, Robert and Kim Franco, Philip and Eva Franco, Carmen and James Spencer, Robert and Sandra Perez, Amanda and Peter Rivera, Martha and Roy Cox, and Cindy Davis. She also leaves behind many cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will carry on her memory.
Mary will be missed by all who knew her, and her legacy of love and devotion will live on in the hearts of those she touched. May God bless her soul and grant her eternal peace.
A Memorial Mass in her honor will be held on Friday, February 14, 2025, at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in San Angelo. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in memory of Mary Elida Perez.
