With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Mary Scott, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and dog mom, on January 5, 2025, at the age of 74.
Mary was known for her infectious laughter and unwavering kindness. Her love for baseball was a defining part of her life – whether cheering for her favorite team, keeping score during games, or sharing her enthusiasm with friends and family.
Mary had a passion for baking, sewing, and collecting Madame Alexander dolls. She found joy in simple pleasures—watching her favorite daytime soap operas, swimming, attending church, and creating precious memories with friends and family.
Her love, warmth, and compassion created a legacy that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed.
Mary is survived by her loving husband, Jimmy; of over 54 years and her cherished son, Nathan; and her beloved grandchildren, Dylan and Jordan. Her family also included her fur babies, Josh and Charlie, who held a special place in her heart and were her constant companions and a source of daily joy.
Her great-grandchildren, Layton and Sutton, brought her immense happiness, filling her heart with pride and love. Mary is also survived by her dear sister, Pam Newby; her brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Debbie Turley; her nieces and nephews Cameron, Robin, and Jay; as well as numerous extended family members who held a special place in her heart and life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elvida and Dr. Carlton Turley of San Angelo, TX.
A viewing will be held at Johnson's Funeral Home, 435 W. Beauregard Ave, San Angelo, TX 76903 on January 18, 2025 from 09:00 am – 11:00 am. A graveside service will follow at Johnson's Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens at 1:00 pm
The Scott family invites you to join them for lunch at Henry’s Diner, located at 3015 Sherwood Way in San Angelo, TX immediately after the viewing. Lunch will conclude by 12:30 to allow time for travel to the graveside service.
