It is with heavy hearts we announce that on December 26th, 2024 beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather and friend Lee Frederick Woodworth passed away peacefully while surrounded by his loved ones in San Angelo, Texas.
Born to the late Loren and Dolores Ford Woodworth on June 1st, 1956 in Lansing, Michigan. Lee lived many places growing up as a military child including Japan, Alaska, and Florida but would return to San Angelo to plant his roots after graduating high school. While working together at St. John's Hospital he met the love of his life and wife of 43 years, Judy Bullion Woodworth. Later due to his special ability to connect with people he found his knack for salesmanship but would eventually find "vintage trailer rescues" as his calling.
He was known for his unwavering humor, dedication to family and friends, love for travel (especially with his long time furry companion, Lizzy), his interest and ownership of motorcycles and old cars, most notably Volkswagens, and maybe most of all, his passion for classic rock music, the louder the better. "Caution; hearing protection must be worn" is a sign that literally rings true in his house.
We find comfort knowing Lee led a fulfilled life complete with love and laughter. His absence from this earth will truly be felt by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to a loving Husband, Lee was also a father to children; Brandi Brown, Krista Woodworth, Brant Woodworth and Audrey Suarez. He was grandfather to many beautiful grandchildren including Gage, Virginia, Willow, Sierra, Sidney, Hazel, August, Stayley and Rowan. Sibling to Kathleen Reynolds, Robert Woodworth, Laura Burrus and Marilyn Hudman and devoted friend to so many.
A private celebration of life with his friends and family will be held at a later date in lieu of a funeral.
"If the sun refused to shine
I would still be loving you
If mountains crumble to the sea
There will still be you and me
Cold drops of rain whisper of the pain
Tears of loves lost in the days gone by
My love is strong
With you there is no wrong
Together we shall go until we die
Happiness, no more be sad
Happiness, I'm glad
And so today, my world it smiles
Your hand in mine, we walk the miles
Thanks to you it will be done
For you to me are the only one, yeah"
